Members gather at two locations each Sunday at Oyster Cove Water Board Reserve to fly Powered RC and Glider models and at Hunter Sports High at Gateshead to fly Control Line and Park Flyers.
The facilities at Oyster Cove consist of approximately 2.5 acres of slashed field with mown runways and unlimited airspace. This is a great area for powered and glder models.
The club runs and hosts glider competitions annually and is a great way to gain thermal gliding experience in a casual environment with plenty of experienced people to help. The Control Line facilities consist of sports fields at the Hunter Sports High School. The fields are meticulously kept and are perfect for control line models and electric park flyers.
If you have a query or wish to learn how to fly an aero model please feel free to contact a committee member.
